Hi! Tell me what you'd like to fold β a crane, a frog, a rose, a boatβ¦ I'll write you step-by-step instructions, and when I know the crease pattern I'll load it so you can watch it fold.
A 3D origami folding simulator. The sheet is simulated as a triangle mesh with stretching springs on edges and torsion springs on creases that drive each fold toward its target angle β the method behind Ghassaei et al.'s Origami Simulator (7OSME 2018).
Crease patterns: traditional models, encoded in FOLD format. Several patterns adapted from the Rabbit Ear project and from Origami Simulator (MIT license).
Editor tips: valley folds (dashed blue) crease toward you, mountain folds (red dash-dot) away. For a pattern to fold flat, each interior vertex needs |mountains β valleys| = 2 (Maekawa) and alternating sector angles summing equally (Kawasaki) β the dots in the editor check this for you.
